Senior Controller – Short-Term Rental & Hospitality

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, tech‑forward Senior Controller to lead the financial function for our rapidly expanding Short‑Term Rental and Hospitality portfolio. Based remotely, you will own the financial health of sophisticated clients, guide a distributed accounting team, and act as the chief financial advisor to CEOs and investors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end US GAAP financial reporting and month‑end close for multiple STR/Hospitality clients.
• Mentor, review, and support a remote team of accountants and bookkeepers.
• Oversee complex owner‑fund and trust accounting structures with precision.
• Partner with client executives to explain P&L trends, cash‑flow projections, and strategic insights.
• Design and implement scalable controls, standardised workflows, and process improvements as the client portfolio grows.

Required profile

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in a Controller or senior finance leadership role.
• Deep knowledge of Short‑Term Rentals, Property Management, or Hospitality finance.
• Strong command of US GAAP, multi‑entity consolidations, and trust accounting.
• Tech‑savvy mindset with proven use of modern finance systems.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
