Senior Designer – 3D Layout & CAD Specialist

About the role

Senior Designer responsible for 3D layout and 2D CAD drawings of moderate to advanced complexity, supporting Fluor's competitive edge in the global marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate to complex advanced scope, potentially serving as Design Area Lead.
• Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate to advanced complexity.
• Check work done by other Designers and review drawings and vendor equipment documentation for compliance with project requirements.
• Adhere to industry codes, standards, and department practices and procedures.
• Coordinate discrepancy resolution across disciplines and ensure timely delivery of quality deliverables.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Accredited two‑year degree or global equivalent in a technical field, or a combination of education and ten years related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Technical knowledge necessary to complete design tasks and apply applicable statutes and guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently within time constraints.
• Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials.
• Practical field experience in design or construction environments.
• Intermediate computer and software skills, including word processing, e‑mail, spreadsheet, and electronic presentation programs.
