Senior Medical Writer – Medical Writing Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Medical Writer to produce high-quality medical and scientific documents for internal and external stakeholders. The role involves authoring, reviewing and managing a range of regulatory and clinical writing deliverables while supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Author routine documents such as clinical study reports, study protocols, investigator brochures, INDs and MAAs.
• Summarise and interpret data from clinical studies and pre-clinical research.
• Review and edit drafts prepared by junior writers to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Provide training, mentorship and guidance on document preparation, software tools and therapeutic area knowledge.
• Develop and implement best‑practice writing methods and client‑specific processes.
• Assist with program‑management activities including timelines, budgets, forecasts and contract modifications.
• Represent the writing department at project launch, review and team meetings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in medical writing within the pharmaceutical or CRO industry.
• Professional medical‑writing qualifications (e.g., AMWA, EMWA, RAC) are advantageous.
