Senior Order Management (OM) Agent

About the role

Expeditors is seeking a Senior Order Management (OM) Agent to ensure the smooth flow of freight processes and provide exceptional service to our international customers. You will be responsible for accurate data handling, shipment tracking, and compliance with internal and external regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain timely freight process flow for import and export shipments.
• Enter and verify data accurately in the operating system.
• Track and trace order management files throughout the shipment lifecycle.
• Coordinate clearance and delivery of freight to customers.
• Prepare and send required documentation and arrival notices.
• Handle client and vendor billing promptly.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments while meeting service standards.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, government regulations, and customer policies.
• Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience.
• Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.
• Positive, helpful demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint.
