Senior QA Automation Engineer – Python & Playwright

About the role

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer you will join a team building quality into a complex, micro‑services‑based surgical intelligence platform. Working in an AI‑assisted development environment, you will translate ambiguous requirements into robust test suites and ensure traceability across manual and automated testing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain test automation using Python and Playwright.
• Develop BDD‑style test suites with pytest‑bdd or Behave.
• Leverage AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code to create and review tests.
• Translate specifications, requirements and acceptance criteria into comprehensive test coverage.
• Design and execute test strategies for APIs, integrations, databases and web applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and maintain high‑quality documentation.

Required profile

• 7+ years of hands‑on QA, test engineering or quality engineering experience.
• Strong automation experience with Python and Playwright.
• Proven work in AI‑assisted or AI‑accelerated development workflows.
• Experience with BDD frameworks (pytest‑bdd or Behave).
• Solid background testing micro‑services, APIs, databases and web applications.
• Hands‑on Kubernetes experience and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently, clarify ambiguous requirements and maintain traceability.
