Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Sezzle is looking for a best‑in‑class Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join a fast‑growing fintech team. You will have high autonomy to design, build and improve the reliability of our cloud infrastructure and micro‑service platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, upgrade and build scalable infrastructure using Kubernetes, AWS, RDS (MySQL/Postgres) and modern distributed patterns.
• Drive the reliability roadmap, capacity planning, benchmarking and stress‑testing to prepare for business growth.
• Define, maintain and enforce SLAs and alerts, and lead improvements in anomaly detection and alerting.
• Lead AI‑enablement initiatives to automate reliability tasks and improve developer productivity.
• Establish best practices for observability, security and CI/CD across teams and mentor engineers.

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional software or infrastructure engineering experience with strong SRE background.
• Recent experience deploying significant production changes.
• Proficiency in Golang and building RESTful APIs.
• Deep knowledge of SQL‑based RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and performance tuning.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or New Relic.
