About the role
Vestas is seeking a Service Technician to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of wind turbines at client sites in Antofagasta, Chile. You will work closely with the maintenance supervisor to keep turbines operating at peak efficiency throughout their lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Perform inspection, repair, and preventive maintenance on wind turbines.
- Locate and correct faults to minimize downtime.
- Assist with turbine commissioning and start‑up activities.
- Complete and maintain specific documentation related to maintenance tasks.
- Monitor key performance indicators and area objectives.
Required profile
- Technical Engineer degree or higher vocational training, preferably in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in industrial maintenance.
- Relevant experience in electricity or industrial maintenance sectors is valued.
Required skills
- Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
- Knowledge of data‑collection and reporting software.
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals in English.
