Service Technician

About the role
The Service Technician will ensure optimal performance and reliability of wind turbines at the San Juan wind farm in Vallenar, Chile. Working closely with the maintenance supervisor, you will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize energy production throughout the turbine’s lifecycle.
Key responsibilities
- Perform inspection, repair and preventive maintenance on wind turbines.
- Locate, diagnose and correct turbine faults.
- Assist with turbine commissioning and start‑up activities.
- Complete and maintain specific maintenance documentation.
- Monitor key performance indicators and support area objectives.
Required profile
- Technical Engineer degree or higher vocational training, preferably in electrical engineering.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial maintenance.
- Experience in electricity or industrial maintenance environments is valued.
Required skills
- Electrical maintenance and wind turbine systems knowledge.
- Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
- Proficiency with data‑collection and reporting software.
- Ability to read technical manuals in English.
