Shelling Plant Manager – Production Operations

About the role

Ferrero is seeking a Shelling Plant Manager to lead the shelling plant operations in Chile. The role carries full accountability for production performance, continuous improvement, budget compliance, operational excellence and people development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all shelling plant operations to achieve production, quality, safety and cost objectives.
• Optimize labor, machinery, utilities and production methods to maximize efficiency and performance.
• Drive SQCDME KPIs (Safety, Quality & Food Safety, Cost, Delivery, Motivation, Energy and Environment).
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, food safety and continuous improvement.
• Analyze operational trends and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and plant performance.
• Lead workforce planning, talent development and technical training initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety requirements and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience leading manufacturing or production plants, with strong background in continuous improvement and process optimization.
• Experience managing large operational teams within industrial environments and knowledge of food manufacturing, quality and food safety systems.
• Strong leadership, results‑oriented mindset and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Intermediate to advanced English (B2 or higher).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools.
