Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) ensures that digital services in production remain reliable, available, and performant. Working closely with application and platform teams, the SRE balances rapid delivery of changes with the stability of services.

Key responsibilities

• Define, implement and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) for availability, latency and error rates.
• Lead incident response (L2/L3), conduct blameless post‑mortems and turn recurring issues into engineering improvements.
• Identify manual operational tasks and build automation for deployments, monitoring, health‑checks and self‑healing mechanisms.
• Support change governance by ensuring traceability, rollback strategies and production readiness.
• Maintain near‑real‑time operational KPIs, assign ownership of deviations and drive data‑driven remediation.
• Participate early in solution and architecture design to embed reliability considerations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an SRE, Production Engineer or a similar role.
• Strong background in operating production systems and managing reliability at scale.
• Experience with continuous operations mindset and incident/problem management.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and influence reliability practices.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated infrastructure.
• CI/CD pipeline tooling and automation frameworks.
• Monitoring, alerting and observability solutions.
• Automation scripting for deployments, health checks and recovery.
• Metrics definition and KPI tracking.
