Special Task Service Technician

About the role

Vestas is seeking a Special Task Service Technician to support the CIM Special Project team in executing special projects and large‑component replacements for wind farms across Chile. The role involves on‑site maintenance of Vestas turbines, ensuring optimal performance throughout their lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Vestas safety, health and quality procedures.
• Lead subcontractor teams and Vestas personnel during special projects.
• Perform maintenance and replacement of major turbine components in client wind parks.
• Travel up to 80 % of the time to various sites across the region.
• Prepare and submit technical reports on completed activities.

Required profile

• Technical training in mechanical, electrical, electromechanical or related field.
• Proven experience with wind turbine projects, especially handling major components.
• Valid Class B driver’s licence.
• Ability to read technical manuals in English (intermediate level).
• Availability to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Wind turbine maintenance and component replacement.
• Crane operation and load handling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for reporting.
