Strategic Partner Director – Global Accounts

About the role

Avantor is seeking a senior, customer‑facing leader to own enterprise‑level engagement across its global strategic accounts. The Strategic Partner Director will act as the single point of accountability for the customer relationship, driving revenue growth and delivering measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global customer relationship, building executive partnerships across regions.
• Drive revenue, margin and share‑of‑wallet growth through strategic account planning.
• Oversee end‑to‑end contract performance, ensuring compliance with pricing and terms.
• Develop and execute multi‑year Customer Improvement Plans with clear priorities and measurable outcomes.
• Maintain a strong on‑site presence with regular site visits and quarterly business reviews (≈25% travel).
• Lead cross‑functional global account teams, aligning strategy with execution.
• Partner with suppliers to enhance customer value through innovation and supply continuity.
• Ensure disciplined operational execution, timely communication and issue escalation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7–10 years of commercial experience in life sciences or a related industry.
• Proven success managing global strategic accounts in complex, matrixed organizations.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including pricing strategy, margin management and contract performance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing abilities.
• Proficiency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
