Supplier Quality Representative

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Supplier Quality Representative to act as the primary quality liaison with suppliers on a mining and metals project. The role involves performing quality surveillance, hands‑on inspections, and ensuring that supplier‑provided equipment, materials, and documentation meet the technical and quality requirements defined in procurement documents.

Key responsibilities

• Represent Bechtel as the prime contact for supplier quality on a small‑sized project.
• Review procurement document requirements with supplier representatives to confirm understanding and implementation.
• Monitor supplier personnel activities, including witnessing operations, inspections, examinations, or tests.
• Conduct hands‑on inspections to verify the efficacy of supplier inspection efforts and confirm conformance of equipment or materials.
• Review supplier‑generated quality verification documentation for compliance with procurement requirements.
• Identify and reject non‑conforming material, collaborating with the supplier and project quality personnel to resolve issues.

Required profile

• Experience performing supplier quality surveillance and inspections on construction or mining projects.
• Strong understanding of procurement documents and technical specifications.
• Ability to work directly with supplier personnel and communicate quality expectations clearly.
• Attention to detail for reviewing documentation and identifying non‑conformities.
