Supply Chain, Purchasing & Compliance Coordinator (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail‑oriented Supply Chain, Purchasing & Compliance Coordinator to support our growing international operations. The position is fully remote and works within U.S. business hours, focusing on purchasing, supplier management, and import coordination for a food manufacturing and distribution company.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day purchasing activities with domestic and international suppliers, creating and tracking purchase orders.
• Maintain supplier relationships, contracts, pricing, and product documentation.
• Monitor lead times, inventory requirements, and resolve discrepancies in orders, invoices, and deliveries.
• Arrange inbound shipments, work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and warehouses, and prepare import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, COAs, Bills of Lading).
• Support customs clearance, address shipment delays, damages, or shortages.
• Maintain food safety and regulatory compliance records, including supplier approvals and audit documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in purchasing and procurement.
• Understanding of supply chain operations, import logistics, and supplier coordination.
• Familiarity with food safety and regulatory compliance documentation.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal teams.
