Technical Sales Promoter

About the role

American Vanguard is seeking a Technical Sales Promoter to drive promotional activities, generate demand, and deliver technical field training for its agricultural product portfolio in the Dominican Republic. The role focuses on supporting growers, distributors, and advisors while coordinating research field trials and ensuring effective technical solutions for crop challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct promotional campaigns and generate demand for the company’s crop protection and nutrient management products.
• Provide technical field training and advisory services to farmers, distributors, and other stakeholders.
• Design, establish, execute, and evaluate research field trials and tests in collaboration with LIFE‑RID.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of technical problems affecting strategic crops and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support sales teams by delivering expert technical advice throughout the sales process.
• Foster long‑term, win‑win relationships with farmers, distributors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
• Collaborate with the Dominican Republic management team to achieve commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of the Dominican Republic’s main crops and the company’s product portfolio.
• Strong communication skills to interact with technicians, farmers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Ability to develop and manage technical projects and field trials.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering effective technical solutions to crop problems.
