Technical Services Manager

About the role

The Technical Services Manager will lead the maintenance and facilities team to ensure reliable operation of all plant equipment, instrumentation and utilities. This role oversees preventive maintenance, equipment installation, layout changes and construction projects while managing budgets, metrics and personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Direct, plan, organize and control maintenance and facility activities to keep equipment, instrumentation, utilities and facilities compliant with engineering best practices.
• Lead machine guarding and electrical test remediation programs.
• Manage greenhouse‑gas reduction projects and ensure compliance with Greenfield and other regulations.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of facilities, workshops and manufacturing equipment, including preventive maintenance, environmental, janitorial and life‑safety tasks.
• Provide technical services for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, air compressors, emergency generators, building management, fire suppression, wastewater treatment and controls/instrumentation systems.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs and schedules in collaboration with engineering.
• Control spare‑parts inventory and manage repair/preventive services.
• Plan, schedule and manage facility, capacity, machinery and new technology implementation projects.
• Negotiate and manage service contracts with external vendors.
• Support production teams in process optimization, layout changes, yield improvement, capacity increase and waste reduction.

Required profile

• Multidisciplinary knowledge and experience in plant maintenance and facilities engineering.
• Proven ability to lead technical services functions and manage cross‑functional teams.
• Experience managing budgets, metrics and personnel for large industrial sites.
• Strong project‑management skills for equipment installation and construction projects.
