About the role

We are looking for a Service Technician (Level IV) to join our field service team responsible for the startup, maintenance and emergency repair of Vertiv UPS, battery, power distribution and site monitoring equipment. The role involves direct interaction with customers, sales teams and distributors to ensure reliable power solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to all assigned service calls, including weekends and nights.
• Perform installations, preventive maintenance and emergency repairs in accordance with safety policies and relevant codes.
• Account for spare parts using established procedures and maintain a minimum 90% planned maintenance completion rate.
• Coordinate with Call Control to schedule, plan and update job status, keeping accurate records.
• Maintain customer data, follow ISO 9001:2000 processes and ensure compliance with export/import regulations.
• Keep company vehicle and tooling clean and well‑maintained.
• Submit daily paperwork and debrief field service jobs accurately.
• Report sales or service leads through the proper channels.

Required profile

• HNC/HND in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in a technical service or test environment for AC power equipment.
• Field service background with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Computer literate – proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Valid clean driving licence and ability to work under pressure.
