Transportation Specialist

About the role

Huawei Technologies is seeking a Transportation Specialist to lead and optimise its transportation operations in Santiago, Chile. You will be responsible for aligning transport strategies with business goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving cost‑efficiency across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies that support business objectives.
• Manage daily operations including vehicle dispatch, route planning, warehouse coordination, and carrier management.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and international trade requirements.
• Lead cost‑optimisation initiatives through budgeting, freight analysis, and operational improvements.
• Monitor performance using TMS, GPS tracking, and data‑analytics tools to enhance efficiency.
• Identify transportation risks, implement contingency plans, and manage emergency situations.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners to strengthen supply‑chain performance.
• Lead, develop, and motivate transportation teams to achieve operational excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong experience in transportation, logistics, and supply‑chain management.
• Solid knowledge of route optimisation, carrier management, and transportation regulations.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and transportation financial analysis.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Experience using GPS tracking platforms.
• Ability to generate reports with reporting tools.
