Truck Sales Director

About the role

Volvo Trucks Chile is seeking a Truck Sales Director to lead the commercial strategy for its truck sales business. You will be responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing sales initiatives that drive market share and revenue growth across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial plan in line with Group Truck Sales and Marketing Americas policies.
• Analyze industry participation rates to uncover new business opportunities.
• Consolidate the annual sales plan, set targets and monitor quarterly performance against indicators.
• Lead, coach and develop the sales team, identifying training needs and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Drive initiatives that improve work climate, commitment and motivation.
• Maintain clear communication of guidelines, results and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System and relevant ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001, NCH 3262).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in sales or commercial management, preferably in the automotive or transportation sector.
• Solid knowledge of sales and commercial management principles.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder‑management and leadership abilities.
