Workshop Technician

About the role

The Service Team Workshop Technician repairs actuators and resolves customer issues related to Rotork products. The role combines mechanical and electrical expertise, offers exposure to actuation and automation technologies, and requires strong problem‑solving abilities. Work is primarily performed in the workshop, with occasional field support for service staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess actuators, provide quotes, and schedule repairs based on severity and PO receipt.
• Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, function testing, cleaning, and repainting of actuators.
• Conduct field visits for commissioning, preventive maintenance, and on‑site repairs.
• Prepare for production by gathering components, inspecting them, and assembling according to engineering drawings and SOPs.
• Complete job reports, submit timesheets, and manage service inventory shipping.

Required profile

• Trade certificate or technical diploma; formal electrical training preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, automation, or flow‑control environments.
• Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Team player with good communication skills and strong health & safety awareness.
