Charge Nurse – Early Pregnancy Services

About the role

The Charge Nurse will join NHS Fife’s expanding early pregnancy service, providing nurse‑led outpatient care to women experiencing early pregnancy complications. Based primarily at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy, the role also involves activity at the new Gynaecology Unit in Dunfermline.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, investigations and treatment for early pregnancy issues.
• Deliver specialist clinical care and reproductive health options tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care programmes.
• Support the outpatient service and contribute to care pathways across both hospital sites.

Required profile

• NMC Registered Nurse with a degree qualification.
• Experience in gynaecology, infertility or early pregnancy care is advantageous.
• Strong team‑working attitude and effective communication skills.
• Willingness to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and meet right‑to‑work requirements.
