About the role
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth in the Mining and Industrial segments of its energy portfolio. You will work with key customers, identify new opportunities, and shape solutions that align with our sustainable energy vision.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and deepen relationships with existing key customers in mining and industrial markets.
- Identify customer needs and market trends to propose complete, value‑added solutions.
- Collaborate with Application Engineering to design technical solutions and introduce mechanisms such as Frame Agreements and Capacity Reservation Agreements.
- Promote the Base Load concept and early‑stage engagement on solutions.
- Explore strategic partnerships with parallel industries and suppliers to deliver integrated system solutions.
- Create and implement new business models that leverage Hitachi and third‑party offerings.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations, safety, and integrity standards.
Required profile
- Degree in Engineering, Management or a related field.
- 8‑10 years of experience in business development, sales or marketing within the electrical and power industry, preferably serving mining and industrial customers.
- Proven ability to engage customers at technical and executive levels.
- Experience working in multicultural, multi‑regional environments.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
