Business Development Specialist

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Business Development Specialist to drive growth in the Mining and Industrial segments. You will work with existing key customers and explore new solutions that align with our sustainable energy mission.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deepen relationships with existing customers in mining and industrial markets.
• Identify customer needs and market trends to propose complete solutions, collaborating with Application Engineering.
• Introduce and manage Frame Agreements, Capacity Reservation Agreements, and Base Load concepts to secure opportunities.
• Build partnerships with parallel industries and key suppliers to deliver integrated system solutions.
• Design and implement new business models leveraging Hitachi and third‑party offerings.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Management or related field.
• 8‑10 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing or Operations within the electrical and power industry, preferably serving mining and industrial customers.
• Proven ability to engage customers at management, technical and operational levels.
• Experience working in multicultural, multi‑regional environments.
• Strong communication and solution‑oriented approach.
