Clinical Educator – Perioperative

About the role

This position offers an experienced Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to lead education and training within the perioperative environment of NHS Lanarkshire. You will help shape the learning culture and contribute to the development of the new Monklands Hospital.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and create an environment that encourages learning, teaching and development for all staff.
• Coordinate educational activities and staff development within a defined remit.
• Plan, implement and evaluate education and training programmes for the perioperative setting.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to staff, ensuring effective supervision and training.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or ODP with a valid professional registration.
• Educated to, working towards or operating at degree level.
• Post‑graduate expertise within the speciality demonstrating breadth of knowledge.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards in the perioperative area.
