Community Treatment & Vaccination Nurse (CTAC)

About the role

The NHS Scotland Community Treatment and Care (CTAC) & Vaccination team is seeking an enthusiastic Staff Nurse to join the Cowal Community Hospital. You will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care as part of an extended Primary Care Team, supporting GP practices and allied health professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in line with the new GP contract terms.
• Deliver vaccinations and support public health initiatives.
• Perform wound care, phlebotomy, ear irrigation, patient observations and ECGs.
• Collaborate with GPs, community nurses and allied health staff to ensure coordinated care.
• Contribute to flexible working arrangements, including part‑time or job‑share options.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a current NMC registration.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑professional team.
• Strong time‑management and adaptability.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, holistic patient care.

Required skills

• Basic and complex wound care.
• Phlebotomy.
• Ear irrigation.
• Vaccination administration.

• Electrocardiogram (ECG) performance.
