Domestic Assistant

About the role

The Domestic Assistant provides essential cleaning and domestic services to patients, staff and visitors across NHS Lanarkshire premises. You will help maintain a safe, welcoming environment that meets hospital infection control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a variety of cleaning tasks using machinery, equipment and manual handling techniques.
• Ensure all areas are cleaned to the required standards and report any access issues to a supervisor.
• Use cleaning agents in line with Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
• Maintain safety and consideration for patients, staff and visitors while working.

Required profile

• Knowledge of cleaning standards and related procedures.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Basic information technology literacy.
