Engineering Specialist – Chile

About the role

Victaulic is seeking an Engineering Specialist to develop business for its engineered pipe‑joining products across Chile. The role combines technical expertise with sales activities, requiring frequent visits to construction sites and interaction with key decision‑makers in the mining and construction sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the construction cycle and influence decision‑makers to maximize sales potential.
• Launch Victaulic’s innovative products in the territory and drive market transition to new technologies.
• Develop an annual business plan with the sales manager, including opportunity mapping and sales forecasts.
• Create and execute promotion plans such as presentations, training seminars, and installation tours.
• Maintain a hands‑on presence at job sites for training, installation oversight, and feedback collection.
• Identify and pursue major construction, expansion, or retrofit projects with sales potential.
• Manage the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and after‑sale support.
• Coordinate with regional specialists, other sales representatives, and relevant Victaulic personnel.
• Develop and sustain relationships with clients, prospects, and distributors.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing guidelines.

Required profile

• Fluent in English.
• Experience in the mining industry.
• Self‑starter with strong problem‑solving abilities and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse customer base.
