LATAM and Canada HEMA Lead

About the role

Johnson & Johnson’s orthopaedics division, DePuy Synthes, is seeking a senior leader to drive Health Economics and Market Access (HEMA) across Latin America and Canada. The role will shape regional reimbursement and value strategies to ensure timely patient access to innovative orthopaedic technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute HEMA strategies for the assigned business unit across LATAM and Canada, aligning with global priorities.
• Lead market access and reimbursement initiatives with public and private payers, health technology assessment bodies, and key stakeholders.
• Develop value dossiers, health economic models, and pricing frameworks to support product launches and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (commercial, regulatory, medical affairs) to integrate market access insights into business planning.
• Monitor policy changes, competitive landscape, and emerging evidence to adapt strategies and maintain sustainable access.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (e.g., MSc, PhD, MBA) in health economics, public health, pharmacy, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in health economics, market access, or reimbursement within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proven track record of leading regional HEMA programs in multiple countries.
• Strong understanding of public and private healthcare systems in Latin America and Canada.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with fluency in English; additional language proficiency a plus.
