Mid-Level Golang Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Mid‑Level Golang Engineer to join our talent network and work remotely on project‑based assignments for U.S. clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑performance backend services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Go‑based micro‑services using idiomatic Go patterns.
• Build and operate distributed systems, including message‑broker integrations (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS).
• Write Docker containers and Kubernetes manifests, debug workloads, and ensure reliable deployments.
• Create RESTful and gRPC APIs and establish testing frameworks for the team.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Tekton, Argo, Jenkins X, Spinnaker, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Work with major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) on compute, networking and load‑balancing resources.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of hands‑on Go development, including modules, goroutines, channels and the standard testing toolchain.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Production experience designing and operating distributed systems and message‑broker solutions.
• Strong understanding of concurrency, parallelism and synchronization.

• SQL performance tuning and stored procedures.
• JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Google Cloud services: GKE, Cloud Run, Cloud Load Balancing, IAP.
