Middle Big Data Software Engineer – Snowflake

About the role

In this role, you will take ownership of contributing to a modern data platform that brings information from multiple business systems into a governed data layer. You will work in a distributed engineering environment, helping improve the reliability and quality of business data while collaborating with engineering teams and business stakeholders to support effective data use.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable data ingestion and transformation pipelines that integrate information from multiple business systems and external data sources into the data platform.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and failure handling to ensure reliable data processing.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams, client‑facing teams, and business stakeholders, providing clear updates and contributing to technical discussions.
• Develop ELT workflows using dbt and orchestration tools such as Fivetran, Airflow, and Snowflake Tasks.
• Support the development of data models across customer, transaction, service, communication, and other business domains.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering and building production data pipelines.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake for data engineering and transformation workloads.
• Proficiency in SQL and practical Python skills for data engineering activities.
• Solid experience with dbt and pipeline orchestration or integration tools (Airflow, Fivetran, Snowflake Tasks).
• Upper‑intermediate or higher English proficiency.
