Registered Nurse – Endocrinology

About the role

Join NHS Lanarkshire as a Registered Nurse in the Endocrinology department, delivering high‑quality patient care within a multidisciplinary team. The role involves assessing care needs, developing and evaluating care programmes, and providing supervision to junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, plan, develop, implement and evaluate care programmes for endocrine patients.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Supervise and mentor registered/unregistered staff and student nurses as required.
• Provide cover for senior charge nurse or team leader in their absence.
• Adhere to national and local policies, legislation and ward protocols.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Excellent team‑working and initiative‑taking abilities.
• Strong listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
