Registered Nurse – Orthopaedic Outpatients

About the role

Join NHS Lanarkshire as a Registered Nurse delivering orthopaedic outpatient care. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan and evaluate patient programmes, ensuring high‑quality, patient‑centred services across North and South Lanarkshire.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patient care needs and develop individual care programmes.
• Implement and evaluate care plans, maintaining clinical standards.
• Provide direct nursing care without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate procedures and supervise registered, unregistered staff and student nurses as required.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Post‑registration experience in orthopaedics.
• Strong team‑working abilities and initiative.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
