Registered Nurse – Surgical Assessment Unit

About the role

The Surgical Assessment Unit needs a Registered Nurse to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality patient care. You will assess patients’ needs, develop and implement care programmes, and evaluate outcomes independently, while also supporting junior staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate patient care programmes.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Apply and adhere to national and local policies, legislation, procedures and protocols.
• Supervise and demonstrate procedures to registered, unregistered staff and student nurses as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
• Strong team‑working ability and capacity to work autonomously.
• Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary environment.
