Remote Laravel Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Laravel Developer to join our fully remote team. You will build and maintain high‑quality web applications and APIs, modernising legacy codebases while ensuring performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust web applications and RESTful APIs using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Modernise and refactor legacy codebases to improve performance, maintainability, and security.
• Optimise database schemas and queries with MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL for high‑performance data access.
• Implement secure authentication and authorisation mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Ensure application reliability through structured testing, debugging, and adherence to industry best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience focused on PHP development.
• Proven expertise with PHP 7.4+/8+ and Laravel (or Symfony).
• Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL database management.
• Solid background in refactoring and modernising legacy codebases.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
