Rotational Pharmacy Support Worker (LW)

About the role

This position offers an entry‑level opportunity to work within the NHS Fife Pharmacy & Medicines Service, supporting the medicines supply chain across multiple hospital sites. No prior pharmacy experience is required – full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble medicine orders and over‑label medicines.
• Receive goods from suppliers and maintain store stock levels.
• Prepare ward orders, perform ward top‑ups, and handle reception duties.
• Answer telephone enquiries and perform basic computer tasks related to stock management.
• Physically handle medicines, including infusion boxes, and remain on your feet for most of the shift.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts between 08:00‑18:00, Monday‑Friday, plus weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to lift and handle medication supplies safely.
• Commitment to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
