SC Regional & Plant Logistics Lead – Hazelnut Supply Chain

About the role

Ferrero is seeking a strategic and tactical leader to oversee the hazelnut supply chain (inshell and kernel) across a designated region in Chile. The role combines regional area management with plant logistics oversight, ensuring seamless coordination between external warehouses, collection points, and cracking plants.

Key responsibilities

• Lead standardisation of logistics processes and drive continuous improvement aligned with global Ferrero and AgriChile supply‑chain strategies.
• Implement rigorous Health & Safety controls aiming for a "Zero Accident" standard across all sites.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments, identify critical assets, and execute mitigation plans to prevent disruptions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for data entry, championing the "First Time Right" methodology to achieve 100% inventory accuracy.
• Manage SOPs for critical infrastructure (silos, weighbridges, transfer systems) to maintain OEE above 85%.
• Facilitate collaboration between Planning, Transport, and Production to synchronise inbound flows with cracking plant capacities using a pull strategy.
• Govern logistics providers, handling non‑conformities and ensuring compliance with performance standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply‑chain or logistics leadership, preferably within food or agricultural sectors.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data integrity and KPI‑driven performance.
• Excellent knowledge of health & safety regulations and risk‑assessment methodologies.
• Ability to develop and enforce SOPs and governance frameworks for logistics operations.
• Effective cross‑functional communication skills to align planning, transport, and production teams.
