Senior Python Developer – Cloud & Machine Learning

About the role

Sovos is looking for an experienced Python Developer to design and deliver scalable software solutions that address complex business challenges for global clients. You will work across multidisciplinary teams, mentor engineers, and help shape best‑practice development processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high‑quality Python applications, including machine‑learning components.
• Lead technical discussions, code reviews, and champion continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, QA testers, and DBAs to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Mentor and support software engineers, fostering professional growth.
• Author technical documentation, release notes, and maintain bug‑fix records.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with object‑oriented programming and web application technologies.
• 2+ years in technical leadership or hands‑on team coaching.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
