Social Media Content Creator

About the role

Waves Digital Agency is seeking a Social Media Content Creator to own and grow its own social media presence. You will translate brand ideas into engaging short‑form videos, graphics and copy, publishing across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, create and schedule content for Waves’ social channels, developing monthly calendars and weekly posting plans.
• Brainstorm and produce creative, educational and entertaining short‑form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok and LinkedIn.
• Film content using a smartphone or basic equipment and edit videos with strong pacing, captions, transitions, music and platform‑specific formats.
• Design or coordinate simple graphics and visual assets using tools such as Canva or Adobe.
• Write compelling captions, hooks, calls‑to‑action and supporting copy in Spanish.
• Maintain consistency in visual identity, tone and messaging across all posts.
• Monitor basic performance metrics and suggest improvements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with social media trends, formats and new content opportunities.
• Collaborate with Adrian and the creative team for strategic or visual direction when needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience creating and managing social media content, especially short‑form video.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Reels and related platforms.
• Ability to plan content independently from ideation to publishing.
• Excellent writing skills in Spanish.
• Creative thinking, initiative and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated, able to meet deadlines and work remotely.
• Portfolio or examples of prior social media content.

Required skills

• Video editing tools such as CapCut or similar.
• Graphic design tools – Canva and Adobe (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator).
