Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy Advanced Nurse Practitioner (SACT ANP)

About the role

The Haematology/Oncology Service within NHS Fife is seeking a qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join the newly integrated Systemic Anti‑Cancer Therapy (SACT) team at Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across the Day Unit, Ward 34 and Acute Oncology services, delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred care with a high degree of clinical autonomy.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients receiving SACT, including supportive care and emergency presentations.
• Lead multidisciplinary discussions, providing expert clinical advice and coordinating care pathways.
• Develop and deliver education and training for junior staff and peers.
• Contribute to service development, research initiatives and quality improvement projects.
• Maintain comprehensive clinical documentation and ensure compliance with NHS standards.

Required profile

• Qualified ANP (Band 7) or trainee ANP eligible for Annex 21 training.
• Significant experience in haematology/oncology nursing.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and make complex clinical decisions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
