About the role

The University of Kansas Medical Center seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor in Surgery Urology. This full‑time position combines active clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly research within a leading academic health system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive clinical care in general urology across the University of Kansas Health System and affiliated sites.
• Participate in and present at educational conferences and teaching activities for medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Develop and conduct research projects aligned with the department’s urology focus.
• Contribute to professional and academic service activities, supporting the department’s mission and reputation.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified urologist.
• Commitment to a seven‑year probationary period leading to tenure evaluation.
• Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching, research/scholarship, and service.
• Willingness to engage in the Clinical Scholar Track, either as a Clinician‑Educator or Clinician‑Investigator.
