Clinical Nurse Educator

About the role

The Clinical Nurse Educator will join the Critical Care Unit at Victoria Hospital, supporting excellence in nursing practice across intensive and high‑dependency care areas. This part‑time role focuses on delivering education, staff development, and evidence‑based practice initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate clinical education programmes for critical care staff.
• Provide expert clinical counsel and mentorship to nurses and multidisciplinary teams.
• Lead implementation and assessment of evidence‑based practice and patient education initiatives.
• Collaborate with the directorate to cover occasional weekend charge‑nurse shifts.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse with a minimum of five years intensive care experience.
• Post‑graduate qualification in teaching, emergency medicine nursing, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated ability to work at master’s degree level or equivalent in a clinical setting.
• Commitment to becoming a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
