Compliance Associate

About the role

Checkr is seeking a Compliance Associate to join its Operations team. You will help ensure the accuracy and quality of background screening reports while supporting the company’s commitment to safe and fair decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Process a high volume of background reports, maintaining meticulous attention to detail and communicating with court clerks or law‑enforcement agencies when needed.
• Flag issues and collaborate with compliance teammates and leaders to drive resolution and meet key performance indicators.
• Complete required training and stay current on all QA workflows and compliance handbooks.
• Achieve productivity and quality targets set by leadership.
• Uphold Checkr’s core values and adhere to internal policies.

Required profile

• 1‑2 years of experience in customer success, operations, risk, fraud, compliance, or trust & safety.
• Research‑driven with strong investigative and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Familiarity with judicial processes and criminal case information is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with thorough documentation habits.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GSuite and general computer applications.
