Contract Legal Counsel – Corporate Law (Chile)

About the role

We are seeking a Contract Legal Counsel specialized in corporate law to join a growing international infrastructure and services organization operating in Chile. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will safeguard the company’s interests across a wide range of service and supply contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts and agreements, including EPC and underground equipment service contracts.
• Provide legal advice on supplier and service contracts, ensuring compliance with Chilean and international regulations.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver timely legal guidance.
• Manage legal disputes and coordinate with external counsel when required.
• Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation strategies for contractual risks.
• Monitor legislative changes affecting the infrastructure, construction, mining and energy sectors.

Required profile

• Law degree with a valid license to practice in Chile.
• Proven experience in legal roles within infrastructure, construction, mining or energy industries.
• Strong knowledge of Chilean and international legal frameworks.
• Excellent contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
• Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive problem‑solver with willingness to travel within Chile.
