Healthcare Support Worker – Outpatient Department

About the role

The Outpatient Department at Victoria Hospital is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to assist with direct patient care across multiple specialties. This 25‑hour position offers flexible shift patterns and the chance to develop additional competencies after a supported induction.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake delegated duties that support safe and efficient delivery of outpatient services.
• Maintain high standards of care in line with NHS policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Adapt to work across both acute hospital sites as service needs dictate.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly and effectively within a team.
• Strong organisational, customer service and problem‑solving abilities.
• Willingness to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom.
