Hospital Pharmacist – Secondary Care

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our secondary‑care pharmacy team. The role focuses on delivering patient‑centred pharmaceutical care and ensuring timely, safe supply of medication within a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prioritize your workload to meet patient, departmental and multidisciplinary needs.
• Provide operational support to the pharmacy service as part of staff rotation.
• Participate in the hospital’s emergency duty rota and cover weekend and public‑holiday shifts as required.
• Maintain accurate medication records and dispense medicines in accordance with best practice.

Required profile

• Master of Pharmacy degree.
• Registered member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Independent Prescribing qualification (or commitment to obtain within a reasonable timescale).
• Ability to work under pressure and organise workload effectively.
• Experience in patient information and education.
