Housekeeper – ICU Fixed‑Term Secondment

About the role

We are seeking a Band 2 Housekeeper to join the Intensive Care Unit on a fixed‑term/secondment basis. The role is essential for maintaining a safe, organised and efficient clinical environment, supporting the nursing team and enhancing patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe and well‑organised ICU environment.
• Monitor and replenish stock levels of clinical and non‑clinical supplies.
• Prepare admission and clinical packs for patients.
• Provide support to patients’ relatives and assist with clerical duties.
• Carry out essential environmental tasks to relieve workload pressures on HCSWs and registered nurses.

Required profile

• Friendly, organised and proactive with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme.
• Legal right to work in the United Kingdom and, if internal, an approved secondment agreement.
