International Purchasing & Logistics Specialist

About the role

Distribuidora Thomen is looking for an International Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to manage the procurement of raw materials and packaging from overseas suppliers. You will ensure timely delivery, coordinate customs procedures, and support the supply chain for our clients across the Dominican Republic, Haiti and the Caribbean.

Key responsibilities

• Negotiate prices, terms and delivery schedules with international suppliers.
• Coordinate international transportation, documentation and customs clearance.
• Monitor inventory levels, track orders and collaborate with sales and warehouse teams.
• Analyze logistics costs, identify new sources of supply and propose process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records in ERP and spreadsheet tools.

Required profile

• Degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Logistics or related field.
• Proven experience in international purchasing and import management.
• Strong negotiation abilities and supplier performance evaluation.
• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• Organized, detail‑oriented and able to work in a dynamic team environment.
