Junior Trading Operations Engineer

About the role

Pepperstone is seeking a Junior Trading Operations Engineer to support the reliability and performance of its client trading platforms and internal trading infrastructure. You will work closely with business users and technical teams to ensure seamless operation of critical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer client trading platforms such as MT4, MT5, cTrader and Pepperstone’s proprietary platform.
• Manage internal dealing infrastructure, including execution, pricing, hedging engines, liquidity aggregators and proprietary trading systems.
• Monitor trading‑critical systems (trading systems, proxy servers, Windows servers, aggregators, pricing engine, third‑party plugins) and respond to alerts.
• Perform regular health and performance checks, audits and vulnerability assessments on all trading platforms.
• Handle operations tickets, corporate actions, swaps and other daily operational tasks with appropriate urgency.
• Investigate trade‑related issues end‑to‑end and resolve pricing discrepancies.
• Coordinate escalations and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of trading platforms and systems used by clients.
• Understanding of Pepperstone’s business model and trading workflow.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize issues based on business impact.
