Project Manager – Industrial Projects (Motion High Power)

About the role

ABB is looking for a Project Manager to lead medium‑to‑large industrial projects within the Motion High Power business. The role supports the MOHP Team in Chile and LATAM, collaborating with the Americas Hub and global factories.

Key responsibilities

• Lead project execution from hand‑over to close‑out, ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, cost, quality, HSE, cybersecurity and customer requirements.
• Coordinate projects involving medium‑voltage drives, motors, electrical rooms, switchgear, CMM, transformers and auxiliary equipment.
• Monitor progress, resource utilization, financial performance, invoicing, cash flow, risks and opportunities.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, factories, engineering, supply‑chain, procurement, logistics, HSE, finance and commissioning teams.
• Support contract, claims, change management, procurement and logistics activities in line with ABB policies.
• Drive documentation, customer acceptance, contract close‑out, lessons learned and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management or coordination experience in mining, heavy industry, pulp & paper, marine or similar environments.
• Degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, civil, automation engineering or related technical field.
• English communication skills (intermediate minimum, advanced preferred).
• Project‑management certification (PMI, CAPM, PMP) and experience with MS Project, SAP, Excel or Power BI are desirable.
