R&D Associate Manager

About the role

Kraft Heinz is seeking an R&D Associate Manager to lead formula and packaging development for its South American portfolio. The role combines hands‑on product innovation with cross‑functional coordination to ensure regulatory compliance and market readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead formula and packaging development, working closely with Regulatory to secure compliance.
• Manage the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) process, coordinating risk analysis and approvals with interdisciplinary teams.
• Approve trial reports, formulas, nutrition and packaging specifications in Agile, and artwork in Atlas.
• Coordinate R&D projects and provide technical guidance to copackers across South America.
• Conduct internal sensory panels when copacker changes occur to maintain business continuity.
• Generate and update complementary labeling for South American markets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in new product development, covering both product and packaging.
• Basic knowledge of food and packaging regulations.
• Understanding of quality system management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred).
